When I perform a restart from another reason , the system perform an update. The restart took about 60 minutes. This thread is locked.

I have Windows 10 and do NOT get any notification that updates are about to be applied or have started. I find out when my PC slows down things stop working and I end up rebooting and then I get a notification that windows updates are in progress or have failed, etc. If you would just provide notification, I would know that updates are in progress and I would go do something else rather than think something is wrong with my computer!! Something like a medium sized pop up window saying \”Windows update s in progress.

That what I did so far. A restart taking 1 hour without notification is a big problem. I do not want to browse the update list, or to figure out what each update means. What I need is to schedule when the extremely long installation process occurs. I cannot let a simple restart take an hour without warning. Something was still seriously wrong because I have NEVER had windows updates take that long unless I had just reformatted my hard drive and had to install every update since it left the factory.
